  • Do I need a referral?
    No referral is necessary. You can simply click on this link to make your first appointment Schedule an appointment
  • Do you provide psychotherapy virtually?
    Yes. I provide psychotherapy virtually through Doxy.me, a secure telemedicine platform that ensures your confidentiality and privacy. No downloading of software is required on your part.
  • Are Dr. Day’s services covered by my employers extended health care benefits?
    Dr. Day is psychologist registered with Ontario College of Psychologists (registration #:3633). Registered psychologists services are covered by most employers’ extended health benefits. Typically, you will pay me at the conclusion of a session and I will provide you a receipt that you can submit for re-imbursement. Please check with your insurance provider before your first appointment.
  • What is the cost of psychological services with Dr. Day and how can I pay for them?
    The fee for a one-hour psychotherapy session with Dr. Day is $200. This is somewhat less than the rate of $220 recommended by the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). Unless we make a different arrangement in advance, fees are due at the end of each session. I accept payments by check, cash, email transfer and credit card.
  • I have a Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claim. Are Dr. Day’s services covered by WSIB?
    Dr. Day previously was previously employed by WSIB as a consultant psychologist. He is a registered with the WSIB Community Mental Health Program and once your claim is approved, your sessions are directly billable to WSIB, requiring no outlay of funds on your part.
  • How long are therapy sessions?
    Sessions are generally 50 minutes long.
  • Does OHIP cover psychotherapy with Dr. Day?
    Unfortunately, OHIP does not cover psychological services. Most insurance companies will cover a certain percentage of treatment costs for a clinical psychologist.
  • What is the policy for cancelled and missed appointments?
    We ask you to provide 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Appointments without sufficient notice will be charged the full fee.
